For the University, participation in the Forum has already become a traditional event.
On Wednesday, September 21, the opening of the V International Fishery Forum and Exhibition of the Fish Industry, Seafood and Technologies SeafoodExpo Russia took place in St. Petersburg. The event will be held from 21 to 23 September at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Center. This year, the event was attended by the largest of more than 8 thousand people and 400 companies from 19 regions of Russia and 13 countries of the world.
On the first day of the forum, the solemn opening of the site, a plenary session, as well as the launch of a specialized fishery exhibition took place. Achievements and opportunities of branch universities at the event are presented by the joint information stand of educational organizations of the Federal Agency for Fisheries.
This year, the program of the delegation of the University led by FESFTU's rector Oleg Shcheka also plans many events and meetings. In particular, negotiations have already been held with the Navada company, during which a high assessment was given to the implementation of successful joint projects and an agreement was reached on expanding cooperation with the university in the educational, scientific and technical fields. Particular attention will be paid by the participants to summarizing the results of the All-Russian competition "Young Professionals" WorldSkills Russia on fishing competencies at the FESFTU site and the further development of this area of activity.
The traditional meeting of the rectors of the universities of the Federal Agency for Fishery is also planned, during which the heads of educational organizations will discuss the development of industry education and the formation of common effective solutions in training personnel for the fishing industry. In addition to the rector of FESFTU, the rector of the Kamchatka State Technical University Sergey Levkov, the rector of the Kerch State Marine Technological University Evgeny Masyutkin, and the rector of the Kaliningrad State Technical University Vladimir Volkogon are working at this site these days.
For reference: GLOBAL FISHERY FORUM is the main congress event of the Russian fishing industry, which discusses the most important issues of economic efficiency and social stability, regulation of fishing and competition, legislative support for the industry and the balance of public and private interests. At the forum site, the main trends in the socio-economic and political development of the industry are determined, ideas are generated, development vectors are determined to strengthen multilateral cooperation and trade and economic interaction between Russia and foreign partners.
