Sports sections in the Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University

Sport plays a great role in the life of students and cadets of FESTFU. It is no secret that regular physical exercises bring tremendous benefits to your body. Regular training can significantly improve health and increase immunity to various infections and diseases. Thanks to sports, you can develop willpower, because achieving results goes through laziness, pain and doubt. 

FESTFU is actively supporting students in various fields, including in the field of sports. At the moment, the university has sports sections that do an excellent job of training young athletes. It should be noted that sports sections at FESTFU comply with all measures and recommendations of Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights.

Active sports sections:

1.. Basketball (trainer: Artur Kudinov):

Children’s team: 16:30-20:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays;

Men's team (students and cadets): 16:30-20:00 on Fridays, 12:00-14:00 on Sundays; 

Women's team: 20:00-22:00 on Mondays and Fridays, 12:00-14:00 on Saturdays.

2. Volleyball (trainer of the women's team: Stanislav Kiselev and trainer of the men's team: Larisa Kutuzova):

Women's team: 18:00-20:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 14:00-16:00 on Saturdays; 

Men's team: 20:00-21:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays; 16:00-18:30 on Saturdays. 

3. Boxing (trainer: Valery Drobot): 

Students and cadets: 19:00-21:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 

Lyceum students: 17:00-19:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 12:00-14:00 on Sundays.

Anytime soon, the gym, which is very popular among students and cadets of the University, will resume its work. Lessons will be conducted with the teacher Kirill Belchenko on weekdays from 18:00 to 20:00 hours.

FESTFU’s athletes actively participate in sports events and win prizes in different competitions. Students actively attend the sections, because sport is a good relief after classes in the lecture-rooms. They are always happy to conquer new heights in sports and become the pride of not only the University, but also the whole region.
